Visitor Services:

Info-Point network: The ACVB has developed a network of info-points staffed by trained personnel, guiding visitors about all Athens has to offer, and supplying them with printed maps and visitor guides. The ACVB runs an info-point on a year-round, 7 day-a-week basis at the Athens International Airport. Two additional info-points are also open to the public on a seasonal basis (Spring-Summer-early Automn). Visitors will find them on the junction of Amalia Ave. and the pedestrian D. Aeropagitou st. and at the Port of Piraeus, at the international cruises terminal.

Research & Strategy: ADDMA in collaboration with research institutes produces studies and surveys monitoring perceptions, international competition and Athens’ overall performance as a destination. ADDMA is currently investing considerable resources in this direction by setting up a Destination Intelligence System.

Global EXPO & Trade Shows presence:
The ACVB participates in major international exhibitions such as ITB, WTM, IMEX and EIBTM, to network and do business with professional congress organisers, tour operators, hosted buyers, professional associations, travel media representatives etc.

Travel Trade Athens (hyperlink): Travel Trade Athens is the signature annual trade event for the City of Athens hosting select international buyers focused on Athens & Greece. Travel Trade runs for two days and hundreds of tourism professionals and travel journalists from around the world participate each year. This Athens-dedicated trade show includes pre scheduled B2B appointments, workshops with cutting-edge presentations by leading international industry experts and an extensive menu of social programs to experience Greek hospitality first-hand and network with participating decision makers.

International and Local Collaborations: ACVB invests in building international partnerships by joining international networks and organisations such as the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), ICCA, the European Tour Operators Association, the European Cities Marketing (ECM), the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the World Youth & Student Travel Confederation (WYSE) and the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA). Moreover, at the local level, the ACVB is a member of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises.
